How to apply to the University of Rwanda

What you need

• Rwandans: your Senior Six index number
• International or foreign-educated: Equivalence Certificate, Senior Six certificate, passport copy
• An email address

Steps

1. Go to applications.ur.ac.rw and generate your UR Reference Number. Rwandans enter their Senior Six index number and check the results it finds.
2. Your Reference Number and PIN are emailed to you.
3. Pay the fee through Urubuto: merchant code TH77306981, with your UR Reference Number as the payer code. Pay at a BK counter, by MTN MoMo (*775*5#), the BK app or urubutopay.rw.
4. Log in and choose up to three programmes that match your Senior Six combination. You can submit only after your payment shows in the system.
5. Submit. You receive an email and a confirmation letter. You can change your choices until the deadline.

Tips

• Type your UR Reference Number carefully when paying. That's how your payment is matched to your application.
• Deadlines change every year, so check the current call on ur.ac.rw.
