What you need
- An MTN SIM and an active MoMo account
- Your MoMo PIN
Steps
- Dial *182*2*6# (or *182# → Buy → Online Shopping Card) and enter your MoMo PIN.
- Choose "Virtual Card by MoMo", then "Create card", and accept the terms.
- You get an SMS confirming the card was created.
- To add money, dial *182*2*6# and choose "Top Up Virtual Card".
- To see the card number, expiry and CVV, dial *182*2*6# and choose "View Card details". They're never sent by SMS.
- Use the card on any website that accepts Mastercard.
Tips
- One card per MoMo account.
- Limits: up to Rwf 1,500,000 per transaction and Rwf 5,000,000 a day.
