How to open a Bank of Kigali (BK) account

What you need

• A passport-size photo
• A copy of your ID
• Foreigners (Gikundiro account): passport with a valid work permit

Steps

1. Download the BK Mobile App, or go to a BK branch.
2. Choose the account: Current Account, or Gikundiro Current Account.
3. Provide your photo and ID copy.
4. Your account is opened and you can get a debit card and use BK's digital channels.

Tips

• The Gikundiro account also gives a dedicated Relationship Officer and quick cash up to Rwf 500,000 through BKQuick.
• You can convert a BK savings account to a current account in the BK Mobile App.
